Fashion Tips

What is in this season you ask?

Plastic bags

Like all good fashionistas, Warrant has to make a statement. As we have mentioned before, Warrant has  a fetish for bags. This time he is channeling is idol Katy Perry. We just love the way the material accentuates his furry curves. Do you ever feel, like a plastic bag, drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?

How Kitty Found a Home!

This is Kitty...

She has frequently shared her cat kingdom with Warrant and Linda during Thanksgiving Break and Winter Break. When she realizes that Linda and Warrant have left to return to college, she goes around the house crying for a few days and looks for them. After christmas break though, Kitty never fully recovered from losing her kitten friends. She is now more playful, and cuddly, she acts more like a kitten everyday. Kitty has a heart-warming story, of how she even came to find this household to live in. Here is her story:

Three years ago during a bad snow storm, my mom came home from work and mentioned to me that while at work at First Midwest Bank she could see a black small cat walking back and forth along the nearby fence. I have always wanted a cat, my sister and I used to put out milk to try and attract any stray cats. So I jumped at this opportunity, my dad said absolutely not, my mom said no, so I went and asked my grandpa who was living with us at the time, and he agreed to go with me. With my grandpa in tow, my mom decided she would go with. My mom insisted the cat was probably gone by now. However, I was able to see her walking along the fence. I got out and slowly went near her, but kept my distance not knowing how she would react to a human. She would not come close enough to me to pick her up, but she went into a cellar area and my grandpa was able to grab her. We went to the nearby restaurant and house to see if it was their cat, no one knew who this cat was. By time we found her and got her home it was dark out, so we went to bed and she spent the night with Grandpa in the basement.  The next morning I called the local vets, and the police department to report her missing. No one had any reports on her. I also took her to the vet and had them check her for a microchip, there was no microchip. Kitty seemed to already be litter box trained, she never had an accident outside of the litter box, and she would let us hold her. (The picture above on the left shows me holding her minutes after finding her.) She also had an eye that was fuzzed over. Days passed, and still no one had claimed the cat. She was now answering to "Kitty" as we would say come here kitty kitty. After a few weeks we decided it was time to look for a forever home for her. But the thought of getting rid of her, made my mom and I upset.

Well now fast forward three years.... Kitty is now the queen bee in our household, she even has her own "Kitty Condo". We are grateful that we were able to find her and give her a loving furr-ever home!

Kitty and our Yorkshire Terrier Mickey, are now friends. We have taken Kitty into the vet and her eye is slowly getting better. We are also fortunate that Kitty gets along with other animals so well. Our family can not imagine our life without Kitty in our family, we are thankful everyday for her being placed into our lives.

The need for approval

Ever go shopping at the mall and find you are in a tough debate with yourself about which shoe to buy or which jeans fit better? Stress no further! Find a feline like ours to savage through your recent purchases until all items are out of the bag. As our readers may know, Warrant loves bags of any kind.  In the picture below, apparently he approves of the purchases because he has claimed the bag. No reason to return the purchases and take his bag away from him!

If you need help with laundry...

CALL WARRANT AND LINDA!
Let's face it, no one likes to laundry, but we have to. Lucky for us Warrant and Linda love to do laundry, although they aren't as helpful as they think they are. They don't only help out with the actually laundry machines, but they also assist with the folding (swatting as you fold your clothes), and laying in the laundry basket (with or without clothes depending on the day).
Either way they love to help with laundry!
Not only is there Warrant, but notice the black bushy tail  (Linda)!

PSA: NEITHER OF THEM HAVE TAKEN AN ACCIDENTAL RIDE IN THE WASHER YET!

Homework at it's finest

I don't know what it is about homework and studying that gets these kittens so hyped up, but they always find themselves making their way onto your opened textbook. That being said, I would like to take the time to tell a quick, short story.

One day, all the roommates of apartment 425 seemed to be having a nice little homework session in the living room positioned in front of an episode of Law & Order. I kid you not, the minute each and everyone of us opened a textbook, Warrant made his way to the top of each one. It is as if he is giving you his approval to take your attention, that is supposed to be on him, off him and towards your homework.

Maybe he is trying to help...but I don't know how much work can get done with a little, cute feline sitting on top of the reading material. However, in the picture above Linda chose my textbooks as the base of her afternoon nap. Me, being the sucker that i am, did not move an inch until her cuteness settled off of me.

Meet Mittens...

 Meet Mittens!

Mittens is Warrant and Linda's biological baby brother.
Yes, they have all share the same mommy cat and daddy cat! Mittens was born in late November of 2014. He resides at the home of Kelsey's little cousin, Julia. Mittens enjoys playing dress up with Julia, and playing with Julia and her barbies. He likes to sit on the top level of the doll playhouse and swat at the doll hair. Mittens not only found a loving family, but he found his best friend at his new home! His best friend is Derbie, the dog. Mittens likes to sleep right on top of Derbie, how cute!

Doesn't he look like Linda's twin?!
